Lauren is outgoing Chair of the SAA Public Libraries Archives and Special Collections Section. As a member of the Library of Congress Labs team she is a Community Manager for By the People, a crowdsourcing project which invites the public to explore and make LC digital collections more searchable, accessible, and computational through tagging and transcription. Lauren was formerly Digital Curation Librarian at DC Public Library, Special Collection and continues to serve as an advisor for DCPL's Memory Lab Network IMLS National Leadership Grant project.
