In 2014 Chris Brown served as the Project Director for the Contra Costa County Library’s digital exhibit War Ink. The project would be featured in over a hundred and fifty media outlets such as KQED’s Forum, Mashable, and The Washington Post. War Ink would later be awarded a John Cotton Dana Award, the Schwartz Prize, and be selected as a Webby finalist. Prior to War Ink Chris project managed the launch of Discover & Go, the nation’s first entirely online library museum pass program. He developed over 40+ museums into donors, resulting in in-kind support of over $2 million. He was a 2011 Eureka! Fellow, and in 2016 Library Journal named him a Mover & Shaker. He earned an MLIS from San Jose State University and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco. He’s currently the Deputy County Librarian for the Santa Clara County Library District, a Library Journal 4-star library.
